This semester Musical Theatre students will be performing The Sound Of Music , Princess Whatsername, and Six.
Early musical theatre students learn the fundamentals of theatre for their age, through improvisation, pantomime, games, music theory, and choreography and skits as they prepare for their performances. Advanced students learn techniques such as how to project different emotions using their voices, bodies and faces. Students will learn more advanced levels of acting through Stanislavski, Chekov and Hagen techniques. Skills that will help them in high school speech and theatre, public speaking, auditioning, interviewing, and preparing for college. Dance skills and music reading will continue to advance as they prepare for each performance. |
