Advanced Musical Theatre III

Students will learn many facets of theatre, such as how to stand and move correctly and use exercises and games to learn and project different emotions using their voices, bodies and faces to express what they want to convey. Students will practice auditioning and performing skills. Students will learn more advanced levels of acting by studying Stanislavski, Chekov and Hagen techniques that will help them in high school speech and theatre, public speaking, auditioning, interviewing, and preparing for college. They will flex their writing skills by composing a monologue or scene to perform, as well as learning monologues and scenes for auditions.  Students will learn more in depth music reading and notation as well as choose and perform audition songs.  Dance skills will also continue to advance through "workshop days"  and performances.  The semester will end with a musical theatre review, ongoing Podcast, or full length musical.
